Bowling first :eek:

Is that just a case of trying to outmanoeuvre Surrey? Who usually always bowl first themselves? Could be facing a lot of scoreboard pressure later in the game :eek:
 
Interesting team I would of had Conners instead of Neesham or Rhodes as it’s really only 3 front line seamers.

With young Hogg only just back from injury wonder when Jimmy last played a red ball match he’s been predominantly white ball for years now.

I can see why they decided to bowl first. Green pitch, a hot sun which will dry it out so get the benefit now because it won't last. Maybe the pitch will wear to make batting last difficult, but maybe not too.

Nice to see Hogg getting the nod. This season seemed notable for the young bowlers not bowling.
