Durham v Sussex (h) C.C.

Still here (sat in front of the dressing room). 17 runs in the first hour set the tone. Slightly surprised Sussex haven't tried to push on. Days like today make the argument that you get too many points for a draw. The Kookaburra experiment I'm at an absolute loss with, because these players won't be going to Australia. It's absolutely crap and does County Cricket absolutely no favours at all. I'll be staying until the end, as the weather is pleasant but dear me with the reduction inevitable next season, it's just going to drive people away. Not a good advert this for the game it's very poor
Rob Key's idea. Typical f***ing batsman wanting an easy life. Test cricket should be mandated to use Dukes and not the Aussie crap

On a different note, during weekends and school holidays, there doesn't seem to be any kids playing cricket anymore on the outfield during breaks in play.

Has the club outlawed this now? Big mistake in my opinion if so.

Hope Sussex get stuck in traffic jams get home middle of the night. Why bother coming if you’re not trying to get a result

They’ll declare with 19 overs left, because that means the handshakes can come. Personally, if I was Durham I’d decline the handshakes and use it as batting practice.
Bugger. Missed that. I was looking up Bas de Leede's full name. Worth it though, it's a belter.

Is his middle name ‘follow’ ?
