Wearing a replica top..

It has to be done in Sunderland and beyond these days to restore some pride and balance as there are so many skunks slyly slithering their way out of the woodwork.

I'm unsure why it bothers some so much tbh. I think it gives me some comfort when I'm around massive lads fans.

Can do what he likes can go full kit of he so desires, personally if I was going out and about a football top wouldn't be the clothing of choice...that suit you better?
No mate you described it as "odd"..and thats a more loaded response than the reply above..so what is odd about it?You appear to be trying to put people down for wearing a footy top and thats not on !

I personally do find it odd, always have done

Ill just ask this once more and then say no more ..why do you find a clothing choice odd?what is it about a old bloke wearing a footy top that you find odd? What is it your saying about the type of person that chooses to wear a replica shirt? Are you somehow better than them?
I justified it odd people wearing footy tops away from the match or gym or messing about at home, just wouldn't enter my brain to go out and think yep a footy top is the choice clothing to choose

Just seen a bloke in his mid 60s say wearing a red n white replica top.Is there an age where this sort of behaviour stops becoming acceptable?Bear in mind I'm also in my 60s and would like a bit guidance.Do I stick with Greenwood's or follow his lead ?
I wear something with our badge or something red and white when Iโ€™m at the match.

However, I would not wear a replica top when out socially. I donโ€™t mind if others do it. Itโ€™s just not for me.

I've got a variety of clothes got a few foreign footy shirts and several sunderland or England I've got a medical appointment tomorrow 15 mins otherwise nothing on don't see the issue In wearing a top I find comfortable.

Football tops in this weather are usually ideal. Lightweight and most have air venting or mesh. People who have issues with what other people wear are canny bizarre like, who actually gives a fuck, just get on with your day.

I was surprised to see yesterday as I've never seen this before, I was dropping off at Newcastle Central Station and saw a bloke walking towards the pubs with a Sunderland top on. Not sure if he was a stag or not but never seen one of out shirts right in their centre before, other than if it's derby day.

I am in Asda and I have the white away top on. I am 66 and have worn replica tops since I was a child. I have other clothes as well, unlike scruffy mags

I'm 70 next (though, of course, I look like a mature cross between Paul Newnan and Brad Pitt ๐Ÿ˜…) and I wear my SAFC tops to walk the dog and when I'm at the gym - to keep my elegantly ageing body in shape. Both to wind up the other lot.
And I can choose from a range - 1973 shirt, 78 white away top, "modern" Reg Vardy Quinn/Phillips era top and the 2016-17 sky blue away top.
So, be like me, wear it with pride. Just not when you're shopping or in polite company. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I'm 60 and have always worn a top to Wembley, not otherwise. For other games, I wear a Sunderland polo shirt. Unfortunately, the club haven't been doing therefore a while, well I haven't seen one.
