Wrestling - Part 3

I remember watching that Survivor Series live and being confused as owt. The rest of the ppv was a bit shite.
Hoff got me into it at the start of '98 and he was definitely on the side of Bret. I remember him telling me about that match and it's cast a shadow like and it's a shame it happened. Bret v a reinvented Shawn could have wrestled once a year for the next decade and had the best matches of all time. Was that the PPV where Stone Cold beat Owen?

Yeah SC Vs Owen was on there. Wasn't the neck break match though.

Aye mate IIRC that was Summerslam '97, The ending of the main event is one of the best booking of all time... Bret v SCSA SS 96 and SCSA v The Rock at Wrestlemania 19 were up there with my favourite matches of all time but reckon Sumerslam takes it and as much as HBK might not like it, it's my favourite Shawn performance too

Smackdown was a bit better last night. Looks like they're trying to switch it up a bit.

Without spoiling too much - why would you insert that person into the WWE title picture out of nowhere (no pun intended) and then have the guy who's recently had a shot win the king of the ring match?

I thought it was a mess.

Men’s 4-way - sloppy as fuck, terrible watch
Woman’s - sloppy as fuck again, Nia is pathetic and slow as fuck
Punk forgetting his lines and taking ages to get on track

I don't watch most of the women's matches. They're nearly always terrible.

I just accept that the product is universally sloppy compared to the house shows days. They don't do it enough to make it look real.

I'm down to watching just clips on various social media. Very flat atm.

Ah, the yearly KOTR tournament where a mid carder usually wins to help push them up the ladder to main event stardom. Who can forget the wins of Austin, HHH, Edge etc.

Amazing to see young talents like Orton, Rhodes and Zayn making the semi-finals.

Should have known better when Nia Jax won last year

See Goldberg is back again 🤣 .. he's going to wrestle Gunther! And a few ex wwe talents are saying that Vince wants the company back and endeavour is just a placeholder until he clears his name.. Johnny Ace has agreed to join the case against him though!

Think it’s Goldberg’s last match.

Some of the shit they say is unreal. WWE is cooperate America now.

I love that Bret always calls him "Bill Goldberg" even in shoot interviews he calls him by his full name. Also "the WCW" 😂.

Asuka returns tonight after been out for a year
She sent me a DM. Aye, she's definitely doing something.

😬
A lot of ex-WWF guys did, even Hogan 🤣
Bret just always has that delivery. Underrated dead-pan funny bloke is Bret like. If you go back and watch KOTR 93, in the promo with Perfect, he purposely tries to throw him off. He's said since they were always trying to put do each other but were mates. Perfect is talking and Bret throws in "your Dad never beat my Dad". You can see Perfect get a bit rattled.
