Can imagine very similar posts if this board was around in the early 90's.Never known a fan base that wish to hold the club back cos they’re scared we might be shite again. Luckily the club don’t think that way
Bob was a visionary, he dreamt a dream and got it right. Can imagine very similar posts if this board was around in the early 90's.
"Roker is big enough for us, we don't sell out, why do we need a 40k stadium......"
Think positive man, get it built.
Leeds aren’t waiting. Birmingham aren’t waiting. Neither are the mags, palace, Brighton, forest or Villa.
They aren’t thinking what happens if it goes to shit.
Did any of those go through the last 8 years like we did? We can do this all day mateDid any of those listed have an average attendance almost 10k below capacity last season?
Don't get this argument.Did any of those listed have an average attendance almost 10k below capacity last season?

Except City struggle to sell their tickets despite all that?
Surely that’s more to do with location though. Their ground is a stones throw from the train station, which is on the east coast main line.Biggest mistake they made in building the stadium was sinking the pitch below ground level. The space for concourses and corporate are massively impacted as a result. Went past the mags gaff the other day and the amount of people in and out of the big stand for a non-matchday was huge - loads of events going on that can generate revenue.
I've set a £500 limit on the price that I'd pay, beyond that and it's adiós from me.Its fine as it is, improve corporate suites etc and maximise seats within stadium with regards to away fans etc. please dont raise prices too much, this rise will be our renewal next year and isnt the way it should be. My seat will have went up £320 in 4 years. Plenty money from TV and corporates without bending the regular fans over.
Don't get this argument.
I see this all the time on social media that we didn't get 49000 crowds last season.
Are people saying that if the capacity of the SOL was 80000 they would expect us to get that average last season ? I just don't see what the capacity of the stadium has to do with the average we got last season which has been proven to be amongst the highest in Europe. Our crowds were phenomenal and all but 6 clubs on the European continent would have snapped our hands off for such attendances.
