5 more of the sameSunderland AFC is delighted to announce the signing of Enzo Le Fée, who will complete a permanent move to the Club on 01 July 2025.
The Frenchman’s six-month loan spell at the Stadium of Light culminated in promotion to the Premier League at Wembley Stadium, and now, Enzo is here to stay.
Joining from AS Roma for an undisclosed fee, the 25-year-old has signed a four-year contract on Wearside and becomes the Club’s first summer signing.
Le Fée made 18 appearances after arriving on Wearside in January and immediately became an integral part of Régis Le Bris’ squad.
The former FC Lorient and Stade Rennais midfielder produced an array of standout displays, not least against Sheffield United in the capital when his instinctive pass to Patrick Roberts helped engineer Eliezer Mayenda’s game-changing equaliser.
Enzo said: “I said before the Play-Off Final that my heart was in Sunderland – I wanted to stay, and this made it the most important game of my life. Together, we did it. From the moment I arrived, I have enjoyed my football, my team-mates, and our supporters. We shared an incredible experience, and now we get to take the next step. There are greater challenges ahead, but we must face them together, and I can’t wait to play for Sunderland in the Premier League.”
Kristjaan Speakman added: “In Enzo, we knew we were acquiring a very high-level player who could be influential in critical moments – the moments that change the outcome of games and seasons. He’s been a big part of our success, so we’re delighted that he’s signing permanently and joining us in the Premier League. Above all else, he’s been a team player, and following our Play-Off Final victory, I think everyone could see exactly what the Club means to him.”

he's wearing a saudi shirt in that photo, he can get to fuck.
this is the main reason but even apart from that, assisted in both play off semi legs and was part of the build up for one of the goals at Wembley, and the fact he's just an absolute level aboveHe's had moments of quality for us but yet to see him truly boss a game other than the Boro one, hopefully we can get him in the middle and see him dictate games.
A bit deeper where he can pull the stringsdon't even think we've seen the best of him yet. Enzo in the middle next season
