Keel Crossing [opened 18.10.25] - compendium thread

So they didn't listen to anyone's suggestions and just went with a lost drawn up by the council. 😂
I don't have any inside knowledge but I suspect they guided those choosing in the direction they wanted. I'd rather that just made a decision and didn't pretend it was up to the public. At least some of the popular suggestions I hated didn't make it though so I'm not going to complain too much.
Like when Bob Murray sent out voting forms to members but 'assumed' that anybody not replying was voting 'Yes'.
Edit: Looking at this I do actually know some of the panel.

Choosing is like one of those personality tests

Wear Crossing - a traditionalist who likes familiarity and doesn't stray into wider thinking

Beacon Crossing - an eternal optimist who has been resolute the future remains bright for a long time

Keel Crossing - an innovative thinker who relishes unique takes based on a history of successes

Should be a physiotherapist me

I wonder what a psychoanalyst would make of that mistake. Or a psychologist. Or even a psychiatrist :)

You have to be kidding me with those names!

Beacon Bridge for what reason? Wear Crossing, really?

Keel Crossing is the only half decent choice and even that sounds a bit off.

None for me I'm afraid I'll not bother voting.

This forum never lets you down. Before I saw the shortlisted names I felt sure they would be roasted on here. So, its not just the footy and just widespread and general negativity that reigns. I remember the utter outrage when the named the stadium The Stadium of Light. Absolute outrage.

Stadium of light is a brilliant name, one of the best in the country

Jesus wept, "Wear Crossing" - is that really one of the 3 best suggestions they could come up with? Couldn't be less imaginative if they tried!

Of those three, Keel Crossing would be my choice.
typical with council consultations, they steer things so they get what they want. shows a distinct lack of imagination
