Jobe Bellingham - post SAFC compendium

Wasn’t great today? Did we watch the same game
Ok. I think they were all brilliant. In terms of control and influence it wasn’t his best game. But I’m a massive fan, he’s proved any doubters wrong and I truly believe he’s headed for similar stardom as his brother. My point being he could have at least one season as a starter in the best league in the world.

Why not? You are a starter in the biggest league in the world. Sell for around 40m or keep and possibly have a generational talent to sell?

He could go to Dortmund or similar and get a taste of champions league football early or play a big part in our return.

He wasn’t great today. But he’s proved he’s going on to be a top player at the very top of the game. One more season Jobe.
Absolute beast 2nd half. He grabbed that game by the scruff of its neck. Only top players can do that when it matters

He’s not good enough for Dortmund yet imo.

He’s a really promising player, but were he not called Bellingham he wouldn’t be linked with them at those prices

I really like him fwiw
In his best interest to be a premiership regular imo. No point in going off to be on the bench or under 21's with the odd cameo.

I thought he had a good game today, another that’s probably onto bigger and better things. It’s sad but at least it’s not another playet leaving without contributing anything to the club.

I’d love him to stay and I think he’d love to stay as he’s clearly enjoying his football and the city but his career will be planned out and I don’t think a season fighting relegation is part of that. He’s not at champions league level yet but a team like Palace he’s perfect for, if he shines there then he gets the pick of any team in the world.

Im sure but that could be 1-3 years away. I really dont think he will be looking to leave now, no point to it. unless we decide we want to cash in

Hopefully, we at least hold onto him until after the U21 Champs in the Summer. I reckon he gets game time and further adds to his price tag. Unfortunately for us I think he'll have one eye on next years World Cup Finals (should England qualify) and he'll have a better chance of that playing ECL level. Would love it if he stays but it's always been clear this was a stepping stone.

Fantastic today - I wonder if we have more leverage with him now we’ve been promoted, think if we hadn’t he’d definitely be away, although we can maybe dig our heels in a little bit now

Dont think we can be written off tbh. Im excited. He could be part of a suprise package and get his pick of teams, if he wants to. Maybe even if he just stays until January and see how things are looking. Id be suprised if hes off in the summer

All the noises from behind the scenes point to him leaving.
Remember his family seem to be really keen on a similar development programme that his brother had, and all the speculation from commentators and journalists isn't "do you think he'll leave?", more "he's leaving whatever the outcome of the play offs".

Obviously PURE assumption and speculation on my part, but this feels different to a normal player engineering a move.

I think his name is helping but so is the fact he's a big athletic guy, can shield the ball in any direction and puts the effort in. He's a very good player. And he will play for England at some point
