Dan Neil

Roberts continues to frustrate but ... gives 110% and has an excellent attitude.
He brings so much to our play that goes unnoticed it's unreal. He stretches play and gets us up the pitch. Although I will admit his decision making is absolutely shocking.. well it's either his decision making or just simply not been able to execute his decisions. If he could finish or pick a decent pass for assists he'd be one of the best.

When he was taken off tonight and Mepham replaced him - at the very least I thought he should have been kept on as he holds the ball and is an outlet. Undoubtedly he has tremendous ability on the ball, and tracks back well defensively, but the reason he is a Championship player is plain to see. Amad brought the best out of him. Mowbray was correct when he said his talent was 'scary' - it is, but lads with lesser ability than him have played at a higher level.

Like what?

We got lucky tonight. We could have most 3-1 easily, but let’s enjoy it and move on. But we didn’t play well and it wasn’t a good performance anyone who thinks we played well rewatch the game. But it doesn’t matter!

But gee if we get to the final we’re mikes off beating Sheff U.

Le Bris summed it up at the end of the game. We weren't concerned about having control of the midfield because our forwards could counter effectively. As the game went on Roberts' role was pretty much surplus to requirements and we changed shape once Mepham came on. Tactical rather than anything to do with how he'd played.

Lucky? I didn't see too many chances being created, they looked toothless.

Thought Neil was poor again today, out of game too much, would have liked to see him trying to get hold of ball more.
I didn’t notice him today, defensively or offensively but to me that means he had a decent game.

What I will say I noticed, ball out of play, he was constantly in the refs ear and a couple of times we actually surrounded the ref.

On the fact I didn’t notice him, tells me he had a good game!!!

Jesus man. What u watching ??

What more do u want from him ????

He’s battled as hard as anyone tonight in a defensive roll that the whole team were clearly asked to keep a shape and play in behind them.

When the game calmed down later on he had the composure on the adage of our box to take an extra touch and play forwards that started our first goal.

I thought he put his foot in and won tackles from the start that set the tone for everyone and played well without having much of the ball.

U know nothing about football if u think we didn’t play well tonight and got lucky mate.

We went with a plan to frustrate and limit Coventrys attacking threats.

We sacrificed the ball and limited them to the odd scramble here and there and then took our chances when they committed too many players forward.

The second goal was a bad mistake but mayenda is the only one anticipating he might leave the pass short.

That’s just luck !! It’s clever play.
