I'm amazed such a big game hasn't sold out. Our fans are so hard to gauge at times. Probably just waiting to see what happens, but seems a bizarre attitude to have when the club needs our support considering how important it is.

The crowd as sales stand looks set to be slightly higher than our 40,000 average, so basically everyone who’s attended all season will be there. Rather have 40-42k who really want to be there and have mostly gone all season than it diluted with an extra few thousand who might just moan and get on the players back at the first stray pass.

Sheff United semi 98 was 41,000 (capacity back then of course) but numbers wise similar. If we can match even half the noise the lads and lasses in the ground did that night I won’t give a fuck it didn’t sell out personally.

It's a week night, school night, fans from far might struggle with transport. some can't get time of work, some have already budget the season and this an extra cost, and some would rather watch it on tv in a pub are the excuses so far this season

Nah it’s simply down to how shit it’s been to watch the past 2 month IMO
Got mine still , have heard some say it’s too soon to go up we’re not ready etc , you grab it when van may not get another chance for couple seasons

While I agree with that I can guarantee that if by full time tonight we are still in the tie the remaining seats will sell outwith 24 hours. If we are winning it could be sold out by lunch time tomorrow.

Depends if club are active enough to put more on tonight and in the morning

Some blocks in the PC might be actually full with family, friends and foundation which are not on the tracker P4, P10 & P11, not sure about P5 as of yet. Then your going into the NWC and depends what segregation they have there, they might be not many blocks on sale and fans might miss out

The last couple of seasons shows that there isn’t one championship club that is ready for the premier league so we are no different to any promoted club.
The difference is what you are prepared to do when you get there with investment and clever recruitment.
You simply cannot fill your championship squad with premier league ready players when you’re in the championship.

Cost is no excuse when almost 50,000 clamoured for an expensive weekend at Wembley three years ago.
Neither is school night, week night, when 120,000 clamoured to see us play Man Utd back in '64.
Time off work? Surely wasn't a problem when 60,000 clamoured to see us win promotion on a Monday night back in 1980.
Times have changed - for many modern supporters, going to the match represents a day out - a night game is not a day out.
 
if get a draw (or a win if possible) then should open full ground immediately and promote it, even if just 1-0 down

We had 34,000 v palace in the play offs in around 2003, and a shit crowd v man utd in the semis of the league cup. Good atmospheres though.
I don't get understand why anyone who supports the lads and is in a position to go, wouldn't want to be at a game like this.
