He wasn't happy at all ,don't know of something has changed recently though

I somehow doubt he's all that happy.

He's gone from being a hero up here, scoring goals and playing in front of 40k crowds to being ni more than a bit part player in a team that plays in front of 28-29k crowds and being relegated with five games left.

What he says to the press and how he  really feels are very probably two entirely different things.
 
So badly advised.
That decision has really come home to roost now. Was obvious that the timing and club chosen was all wrong. Had he stayed with us, he would right now be hot property for an established PL club next season instead of a bit part forgotten man.

Says more about the half wit they’ve got for their head coach/manager. Sets them up to get beat practically every week and refuses to change their style of play regardless of cosequences. I have no idea why he’s still in a job. When he’s been selected McKenna has consistently played him out of position. The lad’s class and even though he may not have been ready for the step up this season I’m convinced he’s good enough to play in the Premier League.

To be fair he’s not going to come out and say ‘yeah I regret leaving Sunderland, I despise it here and my agent is a massive bellend who’s potentially ruined my career’. Like I said the other week he’ll be absolutely minted now so he probably is happy at the end of the day.
