Tommy Watson

This.

The deal must be with Brighton to keep playing him.

Otherwise any other kid from the u21 etc could be a more useful player.

Does anyone agree?

I don't think an agreement with Brighton consists of them controlling who we pick or don't pick. It seems simple to me. Regis has selected him because he thinks the lad is still commited. Let's see what happens Monday.

I don’t understand why Brighton would want us to keep playing him, surely that only increases his chances of picking up an injury before he signs for them in the summer.

Imo I think it’s more likely he doesn’t want any of our main players getting injured before the play offs and it doesn’t matter if he does. Very much doubt he’ll be part of the team for the play off matches. His attitude has been a disgrace and the sooner he has gone and is out of the team the better.

He is gonna be a good player this lad.Shame it's not for us.

Not sure what your seeing in his game, but other than 2 half decent performances back in November, he's done absolutely nothing in a Sunderland shirt to suggest he's definitely going to be a top player. He looks like a bang average 18 year old academy graduate that isn't ready for championship football

Brighton or no Brighton he shouldn't be anywhere near our match day squad based on his current ability. And if mundle wasn't injured I suspect we'd hardly see him

We can all forgive a shit performance but that performance against Bristol City was one of the worst I've ever seen. I don't know the lad personally but it just looked like someone that didn't give a shit.

IF that is the case I hope we just tell him to fuck off and not bother turning up for training.
Yes and the worst bit is he's totally betrayed and disrespected his team mates who are working their socks off with a man short. Absolutely disgraceful. One of them should've smacked him in the changers after the match

His few performances in November were a lot better than half decent mate. I have watched him in the reserves/youth team loads n'all, where he was easily the best player on the pitch many a time. I mean, I wonder what Regis and Brighton see in him,eh? He is rubbish, according to all the jilted lovers on here.

Watson on the bench tomorrow according to Bob otr.
I think that is a reasonable assumption. If he starts, I’m sure many in the crowd won’t be best pleased which could create a negative atmosphere from the start.
Need to start getting the team and the crowd up for these last few games.

You're a Sunderland fan mate, surely you understand that managers can at times make mistakes in the transfer market.

Who has made a mistake? Can you see into the future?Time will tell. It's embarrassing grown men writing him off on here, just because he has left us.

When Jobe and Rigg do leave us as they eventually will and will probably outgrow us. They will both leave with our best wishes as they have respected the shirt and the badge, engaged with the fans and gave their all and earned us some coin. Plus Rigg is a mag/mag family and he has done all that. I'll literally follow them two their whole career and always wish them the best and want them to succeed for club and country.

Watson is suppose to be a Sunderland fan as far as I know from East Durham. No problem with him leaving, it's the prem, more money and fashionable Brighton. I also appreciate he doesn't want to get injured but his attitude is shocking. No doubt he has heard the fans in the stand and even read on here probably and other platforms so probs another reason for his attitude.

What if the same scenario happens with those two that has happened with Watson

The fans will give both players stick if history repeats itself

There not blaming the club for him playing shite
There blaming the club for the handling of the announcement of the timing of the deal to Brighton

That doesn’t mean he should put less effort in though?

There are loads of examples of players announcing they’re leaving a club before the season’s finished.

I kna that man but the argument you put up was fans blaming the club cause he’s playing 💩💩

There blaming the club for their whole handling of the situation

I get why we are angry but let's not rewrite history,he was the best thing since sliced bread before all of this. He's gone to Brighton as they really wanted him, if he was a bang average championship player then they wouldn't be in for him. The split side is that he also must be looking around and seeing what we are doing and thinking fuck this.

Isn't that just the same thing? Why should the club be protecting a Brighton player? I can't ever remember a player who actually plays being signed half way through a season, especially one fighting for promotion.

He doesn't want to here, if this was any other industry he'd be on gardening leave and the company and his team would likely be very pissed off at him aswell (well unless he was a prick or useless).
