Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

I’ll give it a drink free t perspective.

It’s not that he doesn’t give a shit, he’s just not good enough, yet. He’s a professional footballer who’ll wa t to win every match. Who’ll want to play at Wembley next month.

He’s a talented player who’s moved from the u21s, to the first team. U21s it’s possibly he’s told to go out & “express himself”. He’ll struggle to do that in men’s football & we need him to do other jobs. Like defend from the front.

So it’s a case do we put a round peg in a round hole & play him left wing, or a bit of a square peg with Mayenda?

Personally, there’s an argument for perseverance as he might have a chance to affect the biggest game this season on the 24th May. But the only reason to play Tommy Watson at the minute is to help us win that actual match.

I don’t think he’s shit. I don’t think he’s not interested. I just have my doubts whether he’s good enough for the next 7 matches, which is all we have him for.

Should only play U21 games from now on, not even on the bench for the first team. Didn’t show any commitment today.
Shouldn’t play any games at all. Can’t sign contracts until the window opens so make sure he doesn’t get injured. Showed no commitment today. Good luck to him but he’s no good to us now.

Hasn’t impressed me for ages. Best of luck at Brighton, Tommy.

When Mundle comes back, I’d leave Watson out of the squad. He’s not what we need in the play offs at all.

We have players who can play there though - ones who want to be here.

Mayenda, Le Fee, Isidor, Roberts, Aleksic
Injuries perhaps? Maybe we aren’t winning a game and need a change, he is still a Sunderland player and if called upon we need him to step up. Is booing him going to help us in any way? It’s childish and frankly pathetic

Boooing was embarrassing, totally caught me off guard , thought something had happened, do we have to hate every player that leaves , every single player on the pitch would sign for Brighton in a heart beat , do we boo them all ?
