I believe the 1st one had over 30 major patches to the game whether it included new dungeons or system revamps so the game doesn't end up being repetitive despite being a dungeon crawler game.

Downloaded the first one on the back of the hype around this. Just started act 2 and enjoying it a lot

It's complicated like. Everything I'm reading says new players should follow a guide otherwise your character will be useless in end game. Hopefully bullshit because am I bollocks doing homework for a video game

No. Each classes come with their own difficulty rating on how to play effectively otherwise it’s just learning stuff as you go on.

If you’re new to Dungeon crawler games I wouldn’t recommend Monk or Witch as they’re very non linear and you’re using game knowledge on how to get the best out of them
 
Picked this up last week and I make it I’m about half way through act 2.

Generally enjoying it using a witch summoner build but my god is the loot absolute shite in this game. The act 1 boss took me about 10 tries and didn’t even drop a rare item ffs. If the loot was better I’d be loving this game rather than just kind of enjoying it.

You need to get on the official trading website if you want good gear for your character, the drops in game are tragically bad. Wait until you get on to cruel difficulty and the endgame maps, an absolute grind.
 
Absolutely been smashing this game... New league this week also... Only downsides tbh. Inflation is absolutely disgusting, melee builds are to slow especially on endgame high level mapping

Just downloading the patch now, probably do the same, I always pick the wrong class, my stormweaver spark build has been decimated by the nerfs especially the grim reaper which they totally removed.
