Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

If anything now his contract is signed he may be more committed as he doesn't have to worry about injury putting another hold on the move

It’s Sunderland man. 10 million 😂 it’s absolutely coppers. Would cost that to replace him with some journeyman champ player

On the one hand ten million seems very good money for a player who’s played less than 20 first team games and not done all that much in them. On the other hand, he’s a young lad that has a lot of potential. Overall I just feel we sell our players a bit cheap - if someone like Bellingham, Rigg or Neil goes for less than £40 million this summer, we’re doing something wrong.
Neil isn’t worth £40m and doesn’t look like he ever would be

It's a bit f#cking metal that we're selling players before the season even ends though. Jobe to go next week?

There's absolutely no benefit to releasing this news now....its that piss poor that I'm actually laughing at wtf they were thinking in doing this on April fools of all days!
It's bonkers mate.

Oh fair play then maybe since the player has shown a stronger desire to leave then
From what I read on here of reports they offered 2 million last summer, then came in late with bids of 8 , then 10 then 12 million at the end of the window, but I think we agreed to the 12 million deal if we got one of their foreign wingers on loan (Can't remember his name but that player didn't want the move so we turned it down.

If he wouldn't sign a new deal as Speakman said they couldn't come to a deal then best for everyone to move on.

Shame we won't get to see him develop. Seems mad to me to leave your home town club from 6 years old after only a handful of games, but money talks.
The elephant in the room is that he really hasn't proved himself yet, its a big risk imo.
