Weight loss jabs

I've never really done takeaways bar the occasional greasy burger on the way home from the pub but I could do with drinking less both for financial and health reasons. Wouldn't want to stop totally though as a few drinks once or twice a week is one of life's great pleasures.

Going on holiday in 4 weeks time so it would be good to lose a decent amount before then. I always pile weight on when I'm away so it will be interesting to see how it goes this time.

yeah I'm going to Tenerife at Easter so might skip a week i want to be able to enjoy some filthy bait, ill be on the go all day with the youth anyway never fail to do less thank 20k steps a day running about after him and there is some tremendous bait places in Costa Adeje

Stick to my Vod thx 👍

Quite sad that we have to find cures for things which are easily preventable. Just eat less and exercise more.

That comes from the same school of medical advice as telling someone with depression just to cheer up.

Unfortunately for many people it isn't that simple. The human body and mind are very complex so a lot of physiological and psychological factors are involved. Your levels of blood sugar, insulin and hormones greatly affect your appetite and how you process food.

I will be in Los Cris at the same time and was also thinking of skipping a week. I'm not going all of the way to Tenerife just to eat salads and agua sin gas.

Hear more and more about these, if it brings the NHS bill down due to a decrease in obesity then surely a good thing.

Its on itv now on the Tonight programme. Seems a lot of snides online they’re saying and will increase, as the NHS struggling to keep up with demand.
Pretty high cost drug, so not possible for all, will be millions of people eligible so no doubt the nhs will be prioritising and be limited numbers, it woud swallow up the drugs budget
Alongside the drugs I’d imagine people will still have to massively curb their diets and exercise alongside it so it’s not a magic bullet without people putting the effort in lifestyle wise

It's certainly not cheap but the cost is part of my motivation to take it seriously. Plus think of how much some people spend per month on takeaways, drinking and smoking.

I would have no problem to it being available on the NHS for people really in clinical and financial need but otherwise those able to pay should be expected to do so.

Ah nothing against the drug or people using them, as for nhs use, until it drops in price massively I suspect it won’t be used asa first course of action, may well be it’s reserved for severe cases or people who need to drop weight for operations etc. still takes effort from the user, in regards changing their diets and lifestyles as like anything it’s not a silver bullet

If you think it's expensive here then look at the US where mounjaro and wegovy are over $1000 a month compared to £100-150 here. No wonder the share prices of their manufacturers (Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly respectively) has gone through the roof.

AlWays will be in the states, such is the health system, as for the drug companies they’ll make out like bandits as Everyman and his dog buy the drugs in the hope it helps them

Tried a week on the Mounjaro last week, well 5/6 days.
Lost half a stone, didn’t feel like food and didn’t bother with the couple of glasses of wine I have on an evening

Will do a month inna couple of weeks aee how I go, but I was impress the week I did on it

Still. Paddy's advice, if you are strong willed enough is far better than pumping chemicals into your body and piling £'s into Pharma.
