Weight loss jabs

Hear more and more about these, if it brings the NHS bill down due to a decrease in obesity then surely a good thing.

Its on itv now on the Tonight programme. Seems a lot of snides online they’re saying and will increase, as the NHS struggling to keep up with demand.

Was listening to a podcast the other day and they were talking about these.

Apparently they are good at suppressing appetite but they also have added benefits of boosting productivity and reducing impulsiveness and reduces how much people want to drink

Could end up massively changing how people work and spend money and how restaurants and bars operate.

Have considered them as I'm proper greedy and cant say no to any food.

Madness when you think about it.

Absolutely loads of people using these now. Seems easy enough to get a prescription from an online pharmacy rather than the dodgy ones. Not sure why people take the risk (other than saving a few quid)

Been on Mounjaro for 7 weeks now i think and lost 20 Llbs, i was always active and good at shifting weight but the 2 years of Covid proper fucked with my weight we also proper struggled with portion control always thinking we eating healthy but fat too much on the plate this combined with drinking and eating shit most weekends

when i got upto almost 19 st thought I've got to do something ya fat bassa.

i get them from a proper nurse with regular checks and that its not cheap like

Don’t buy them from random people.

It’s killed people locally.

It just goes to show how utterly gullible and thick some people are buying them off Facebook.

It's just like these nasal tanners that you see for sale on Facebook Marketplace. It could have been knocked up in someone's shed with anything in it and people stick it straight into their body.

Trouble is people are getting them from places like china to sell on, having no idea what's in them. Someone in Sunderland died fairly recently for taking one which I believe turned out to be 100% insulin. They are that popular legitimately that they are out of stock, hence the clamour for any that they can get their hands on

I started on Mounjaro 2 weeks ago and even though I haven't lost much yet I can feel the difference already. What I ate at mealtimes was fairly healthy but struggled with portion control, second helpings and snacking. Couldn't walk past the fridge without opening it for something to nibble and if I had one biscuit I would have to have the whole pack.

Personally, I don't mind the cost if it gets me down to a normal weight and it may well pay for itself if I make fewer impulse purchases of food. I've also heard that it helps some people cut down on how much they feel like drinking.

I hate the word "journey" though.

I tried wegovy last year after my weight had crept up to the heaviest I’ve been. Lost about 6kg over 3 months so it did work but slowly for me. Didn’t like the side effects of the 3rd strength was spewing a bit and burping all the time which tasted rotten so knocked it on the head.

I gym a few times a week so quite active but prior to taking it was always hungry even if I’d had breakfast. When I used it I could skip breakfast and sometimes tea if I didn’t feel hungry. Knocked a lot of the snack cravings on the head too.

I got it from an online pharmacy but a lass at work got me interested in it - she bought some proper dodgy looking diy kit off another Facebook mam and lost a good few stone in no time. She must have had the super strength stuff.

I've never really done takeaways bar the occasional greasy burger on the way home from the pub but I could do with drinking less both for financial and health reasons. Wouldn't want to stop totally though as a few drinks once or twice a week is one of life's great pleasures.

Going on holiday in 4 weeks time so it would be good to lose a decent amount before then. I always pile weight on when I'm away so it will be interesting to see how it goes this time.
