UFO's

The US Whitehouse has created a Federal Secrets Declassification Task Force which will examine and publish as many classified reports as possible.

Key issue I have with this is the TF doesn’t have subpoena powers. Only James Comer, APL’s ‘boss’ shown in the background here does, which creates a bottleneck of responsibility, and means he has sole jurisdiction over who does/doesn’t get held accountable. His personal business practices have been less than transparent in recent years too.
The term 'believe' is crucial here.

There are those with faith in gods, Earth-visiting aliens, fairies, Santa or whatever else they choose to believe in without requiring any evidence.

There are also those who choose not to believe in things like that without there being any evidence to support them.

See the crucial between the two terms? One of them doesn't require evidence and is really easy to do. The other takes into account how vanishingly unlikely it is that alien life have arrived here due to several points that collectively need to be considered. This means the probabilities need to be multiplied. With every step the chances decrease by an order of magnitude or more. That appears to have been totally ignored by those who 'keep an open mind' and still think any unidentified flying objects could be aliens from other worlds.

It's just nonsense.
We know you think that Kenty. We know. We know. We know.
Why hang about in here repeating yourself to people who don’t care? The only valid reason is to fuel a personal superiority complex surely? Have you posted similar to the thread I created by any chance?

That's a god question, but I suppose it could be applied to any thread or the message board in general.
I guess you're right... it's easier to believe in things when not challenged. I won't intrude on the echo chamber any further.

Not at all. Happy to leave you to it. It's like speaking to a plank of wood sometimes. It's just pointless.

I had to check. Yes it looks like I did reply. Obviously made a huge impression on me. :D

The lad just can't get over the fact that a message board is opposing opinions, discussed. Even in his own comedy thread he writes ...

UFO’s don’t exist. Discuss…

Keep on discussing Kent, echo chambers are for the foolish.

Seems like the drones issue isn't sorted then

He actually says .. "I can tell you that I am privy to classified briefings at the highest level..." Of course if they are briefings that concern classified information which must be kept secret and they are only for the ears of those who occupy the highest levels of government he can't tell us anything about them at all.

If he if free to give the information he's talking about why on earth would it originate from a classified briefing meant for those the highest level. No one in the USA appears to be particularly concerned by this apparent breach of security at a very high level. You would expect a the very least he would be forced to resign form his Chairmanship of the Senate Armed Services Committee and banned from receiving any further "classified briefings".

I think the bloke is bullshitting. My guess is that for whatever reason it suits the purposes of the American military that it continues to give the impression that it doesn't know the source of these drones.

I think it is.

They're not "orbs" or aliens or indeed anything other-worldly or supernatural.
So much footage and no one has anything that is tied even slightly to any of the aforementioned myths.

I think the Pentagon and the National Security Advisors are still mystified

He just THINKS that, doesn't KNOW that, or he'd say I KNOW the Pentagon are still mystified.

Can't wait to see it, could be a real dial turner.

It had its premiere on Sunday and one review I read turned someone who had little interest in the topic to a believer. Although 34 very well qualified people take part another 10 mulled it over but after talking through it with family decided not to speak out in public for fear of reprisals.

Yeah. I'm looking forward to it. I think that's where it'll be most powerful tho... bringing the topic to the mainstream and to those with little to no experience in the subject. Personally, I don't think there'll be much 'new' to those folk who have a keen interest already.

I agree, for those of us who follow it closely we already know the views and testimonies of these highly qualified believers. Next year's Speilberg UFO movie will certainly get world wide attention in all things UFOs.

Still no actual evidence in the new documentary then by the sound of it.

Still no actual evidence in the new documentary then by the sound of it.

I have not seen the documentary as it is not released until later this year but some early reviews have said....

"The Age of Disclosure presents “the most convincing argument you can make without showing any actual evidence”. (Indie Wire)
and
“ .. a basic cable exploitation doc done up with a fancy gloss”, in which “nothing is proven, and thus nothing can be refuted”. (The Hollywood Reporter’s Daniel Fienberg)

So it would seem that nothing new is being presented that would advance our understanding of the issue to any great degree.

Another likely disappointment then.

Looking forward to it, testimonies from the calibre of the people involved will be a real shock to those people who don't know a thing about UFOs etc. I suppose we have to ask the question are all of these people telling lies for whatever reason or there really is something in it.

Its going to take a mad radical president to compel the release of previously secretive and highly compartmentalised information.

I'd love to know what evidence people would be happy with. Even if one of these officals somehow managed to sneak out some top secret photo or video showing a UFO it would still instantly be dismissed as a fake, there must be a more mundane explanation etc.

Tbf im a mad sci fi fan who would love for aliens to exist but if Trump came out and said they do exist i wouldnt believe him.

And even if the Americans in general confirmed it id be sceptical as fuck 🤣.

How about multiple phone sources (there are currently over 4 billion units worldwide capable of this) in daylight of a craft making manoeuvres that are breaking physics. There isn't a single one of these, not one, nevermind multiple sources of the same event !!

Or give some samples of craft/alien biologics to prominent universities across the world for meta-analysis and if they all say it's alien, I'll accept that.

You look

Disclosure needs to come from some trustworthy source with hard evidence… everyone has their own opinion on who/what this may be, but someone like Garry Nolan and his team for me, with peer-reviewed proof.
Alternatively there needs to be some sort of irrefutable mass-sighting that’s filmed by tons of people and reported by multiple reputable media outlets.

On the idea that all the heads in the AOD documentary are all lying about the existence of NHI so they get more YouTube views or book sales and make millions of $ from these supposed UFO conventions… this is a bigger conspiracy theory than the notion that ‘we are not alone’. Of course there are a few bad-actors in the space, but they exist everywhere.

Definitely need quality evidence, a presidential statement would be good but completely diluted coming from Trump as he can't even lie straight in bed.

It also depends on what disclosure actually is as well, I think many people have their thoughts on what they are prepared to accept and if any information goes beyond that it might not be believed anyway.
