India v England second ODI - 8am

As long as there’s wickets in hand towards the end, I think we’ll be alright. These 2 doing good at the moment
Brook needs to hit boundaries.

Root rotates the strike. It's their jobs.

A bit better last over.

India can get 400 on this track. We need to put them under pressure with at least 350.

Brook has shit and got off the pot. Poor innings in the context of the game. If Root was out or someone was scoring heavily at the other end fine. But you can't score 31 from 52 in 2025 with Root nurdling too.

Now we need boundaries, lots of them.

Yeah totally agree, if they want to keep going harder there need longer depth to the batting, if they want to pick bowlers and the likes of Overton so high then they need to build more to final overs.

Personally I would not even have him in T20 side despite his strike rate and definitely not in one day side.

Would move Livingstone to seven and Smith at 6 when fit
Need some more bowling then. Got to be confident Root and Livingstone bowl at least 10

Would have been a maiden but for 4 over throws.

That's why Brook should have been hitting, you can't rely on others, do it yourself!

Root a lucky boy, feather on the glove 🙂

Root has set this up brilliantly for the bit hitters.

In the words of Delia Smith, 'where are you!'

200 up after 35 overs.

10 an over gets us to 350.

Dare to dream 😀

3 off the over!

Bar Duckett and Root we've been dreadful. A total lack of aggression. Bumbling along at a rate that just isn't going to win you this game.

Lovely 50 off 60 balls by Root. Exactly what he's in the team for. Pity some of the others have forgotten the script.

If Livingstone doesn't band they just put Wood in next and get him to play his last wicket slog fest. No point waiting around for it
