joking aside, I like the lad, think he is a canny talent from what I have seen, but lets be honest he is unproven, only had a handful of games, a decent offer and a replacement could be a master stroke for us this season. We have all seen players hit the ground running and then see the development stop dead and not just at our club either.

Nah you're not reading what I've been saying.
I've never once said anything was hard facts. All I've said is what if it's the exact opposite of the stuff that you're choosing to believe from twitter.
The point being that know one on here knows why it's happened and we will never know the full story.

Players come and go and there doesn't have to be a bad guy just because one moves on.

Some on here have raised holy hell because how dare a local lad want to move on rather than stay with us. Pretty embarrassing and very mag-esque.
 
He may go on to be a top level player but at the sums mentioned, the fact that he has only played u21 with a few championship games and only having 18 months left on his contract we would be daft not to take it especially if has already said he isn't signing a new deal

It's a bit of a short term view to take the money now mind. Surely we'd want to develop him for 2 more years and get £15m +

Does suggest he might have rejected a contract from us.
