From what I have heard/read he sounds anything but a shit player. Like you say though hopefully he turns out to be as good as his pedigree suggests.

Like Corry Evans did in L1. He mightn’t have been the best player in the world but he was excellent at stopping opposition attacks.

It’s not at all. He’s taken the holding role, Bellingham and Neil both 8s, if anything, Neil has taken Riggs spot.

No samed has replaced Rigg but neal will be more advanced. So it is really.

Samed is an actual CDM. I’d be very surprised if he played in the 8 whilst Neil played at 6.

In all honesty I don’t have a problem with either. Don’t tend to get too carried away when we are doing well or shite. Dodds isn’t a manager/head coach as long as he has a hole in his arse mind

He's got a bunch of realistic options. Aleksic and Poveda were both very good for the U21s and Aouchiche, Rigg and Mayenda have all been very good playing for the 1st XI.

U21 football is very different in terms of intensity and pressure.

Mayenda is widely regarded as unlucky not to be included. No one is calling for Aleksic, Poveda.

Rigg is a kid and a rest will do him good.

If you think Mayenda & Rigg aren’t levels above the others at the minute then I despair.

Why are so many surprised by Samed starting.

Guy played in 7/8 games for Lens in the CL group stage and EL knockouts.

I think him being injured all season. Has allowed our young midfield trio to all have more minutes than they might have

I reckon he'd have been a starter.

But he seems to be a coach that trusts when he trusts. And that has to be earned. Rigg and Mayenda have earned that trust I’d say.
