Mayenda discussion thread


My opinion hasn't changed. I've always said he has great positioning, strength, and pace, but average finishing. He'll still miss over 50% of good chances, but his positioning is so good that the shear amount of goalscoring chances he gets into will ensure he scores about 8-9 goals per season. Not a bad tally, especially in our team.

He’s 19 year old mate, of course he’s going to miss chances. I think he’s naturally more a winger so he’s only going to get better the more games he plays up front.

He needs a song.

To be fair, Isidor’s press is great too, but mainly because he covers ground so quickly, not necessarily because of his strength.

Isidor is like a cheetah and Mayenda like a lion. Marking both of them would give almost any defenders headaches

Finishing can be taught the other attributes are physical or instinct.
