Jack Clarke

Against their reserves? I didn’t think too much of it.

Different story when he came up against a full strength Mags team.
That’s really interesting. Do you know why you didn’t think too much of it about Fulham but did think enough about them to judge their level of opposition. But then did give proper thought to Newcastle in the cup? Was it the rivalry? Did you think about our internal factors too?

I wouldn’t want him back here, we’re doing fine without out him and I wouldn’t the development of Mundle and Watson to suffer

Doesn't need to if it's a loan for the rest of this season. We have a big 19 games, a good chunk of which Mundle and Watson are going to be missing for. Long term I agree. But not now, he'd be a great addition for those 19 games.

Clarke and his agent (not the brightest) made a decision based purely on money. Fuck em.

They did, we all know Harte was chomping at the bit. If he'd stay here longer and enhanced his reputation further he might have got a better move to an established PL team.

I can remember reading some of his quotes when he left and he said it would have been silly to have turned the move down as opposed to him saying what a fantastic opportunity it was for him.

Both injuries seem to be taking longer than expected. I was against him coming back because it wouldn’t stunt the development of both them. But we need to think of the bigger picture. Both had lengthy lay offs and young lads we don’t know they will be able to hit the same form they had before. If Clarke was available on loan he can only come here, we would be mad not to take it. He’s fit and ready to play and we know what we are going to get from him. For starters he puts his pens away!
Probably pay him a Nice sweetner to ‘play ball’
He gets his cut of the transfer fee, wage rise and then gets an even bigger cut when they sell him on again. If city want him back even to sell him on he’s going or he’s probably writing off 5 million plus!

I want him to do well and like the lad, seems to he suffering a little bit at the minute, 5th city goal was down to his mistake. Hope he hits some form and provides enough goals and assists to keep town in the Premier League

Loved Clarke when he was here, but we are a better team now without him (IMO). It looks that we are trying to build a team that will be able to compete at the next level and on the evidence so far, Clarke is not the next level, but will be a good combative next season for Ipswich as it looks like they along with Leicester and Southampton are going down.
That's not disrespecting Clarke, but if he was still here we would not be as good a team as he would always be the go to ball and with the players we have we have moved on from that (IMO).
So if we are trying to build a team that would compete at the next level but Clarkes isn’t good enough, who out of our current team would be?

Thought he started well today, then City blew his team out of the water - happens in that league. Fucked his day up with that pass and the trust of his teams mate seemed to drain after that.
