Poor penalty. Two penalties that could decide our season now.
Never even looked confident. Penalty or not what a fuckin chance man. These are season defining moments.
These have probably been bigger pennas than the Proctor miss in 1986/87 to put us 3-1 up yet we lost 3-2 and ended up going down


"Sunderland went into the match knowing a win would ensure they would avoid relegation, as nearest rivals Birmingham and Shrewsbury were playing each other. At 2-1 up, Mark Proctor missed a 61st minute penalty (Clive Baker saving). The game was lost, and Shrewsbury beat Birmingham (any other result would have been OK), condemning Sunderland to the play-offs…"
