Tom Cannon bid in - now signed for Sheff U.

I don't think Cannon is the "ideal" solution for us, as he's just not dominant in the air. We need a striker who can feed Wilson's pace and running beyond the defence, as well as chip in with goals. Cannon won very few headers on Saturday.

Strikers tend to be only as effective as the team behind them.

Ooh suits you sir
I usually agree with you on most things but as for the striker bit last year we had a 17 year old midfielder chucked up front, and he scored 7 goals. So blaming the team behind doesnt wash with me.

I think if Cannon and Diaz go to Sheff United its gunna be very tough to get in the top 2. I think we'd have a good chance of going up via the playoffs though.

It's a tricky one. I would like Cannon, but for the outlay, you would want him starting every game upfront. Then you have Isidor, who is looking dangerous and back to his best. At the moment, Wilson looks more likely to make the step up, and I guess that's obvious as he is older. I know Cannon is young but I'm doubtful if his long-term future is in the Premier League.
Spot on if he was Prem standard they wouldnt be selling him, feeling a Will Grigg situation evolving. We have enough dead wood to shift without adding to it with Cannon types that are not quality.

I take your point. Let’s put this way a good striker can be made to look poor by the team behind them.
A bad striker is a bad striker
Jobe is a talented lad and he had a good team behind him … but isn’t striker, which only emphasises how poor the rest of our forwards were.,
