Enzo Le Fee 🇨🇵 Signed!

Personally I wouldn't say it's quite so clear cut. He used to receive the ball off the back line a lot for RLB's Lorient, which is more of a Neil thing than a Jobe. The systems aren't identical, so it's hard to transpose over. He had more tempo-dictating responsibility which I would say is more of a Neil thing than Jobe. But he's involved in more phases of play all over the pitch a bit more like Jobe is

It’s Rigg that would miss out imo.

We’d play him with Bellingham and Neil. Three 8s. That’s the style we’ve always said we want to get to.

I also wonder if we’ve seen the future, ironically enough in our 4-4-2. We’ve never really played proper 4-3-3 like Liverpool up front. Even when the midfield sets up like that, our inverted, quite traditional wingers are not how they do it at all. This has been player dictated. But could we not now start to see a future where you have all three forwards running in behind, like proper strikers. That’s what Liverpool do and it’s chaos. Mayenda, Mundle and Isidor could definitely do that. Way they have done it together in a two - no reason they couldn’t do that in a three, with an accomplish. Mayenda as the deeper pivot in the middle.

As for Rigg, he’s having a great year, but my personal opinion is that Neil and Bellingham have had better, more effective seasons. I suspect he has the highest ceiling, but he’s 17 and we shouldn’t put as much pressure on him in the second half of the season, as we have in the first. Not in an ideal world, anyway.

This will make a banter page somewhere havin a pop at us
Maybe but was just an example of the type it would have to be for us to want to pay a fee like that. Couldn't just be an u21 somewhere or a player from a lower division, it'd have to be an absolute top of the line prospect that for some reason we have a chance at.

Isidor proving to be an excellent signing will give him a lot of credit with the recruitment team I'd imagine. As much as I loved Mowbray, his man ended up being Dack
Still don't understand that, if you're a manager and you see what kind of model you have but the club are willing to throw you a bone and sign someone you think can help the team, why would you go with a crocked Dack of all people??

If we get promoted I couldn’t see us spending any more than £15m to £20m on a player.

Well as they bought him for 20 million and have barely played him, I wouldn’t expect him to cost more than that.
We'd definitely spend 50m on a player if we thought their ceiling was high enough that we were guaranteed to make a big return on them, like if we could snatch Nwaneri from Arsenal or a similarly standard talent.

I’m think the reality Andy is when we do go up, even if we have the current squad of young talent and retain them all, we will still need 8 players in so more likely 3 20 mill and 5 10 mill players at a guess.
