They don't have to but he's out of favour with them, barely played this season.

Just reading Betis were looking at a loan for him. Fingers crossed he wants to get back to playing with a familiar manager who knows how to get the best out of him for the next 5 months. Would certainly allow us to rotate that midfield three more. Hope it doesn't mean one of Neil, Jobe or Rigg leaves!

The obvious ones are Rigg and Jobe but Rigg is not going anywhere yet and we aren't replacing Jobe with a CM who is almost a foot smaller. Le Fee did the Neil role for Lorient under Le Bris, so he's probably more of a possibility due to his contract situation but I feel like we'd have heard something by now if the captain was potentially off, plus I don't think he'd leave during a genuine PL promotion battle.

Also, there are still some unknowns in our midfield. Neil will be fine as he's done it before but we don't know how Jobe and Rigg will react to playing every week when the pressure is really on (and Rigg still needs to have his minutes managed), Salis is fit but hasn't kicked a ball yet, Aleksic isn't trusted to start regularly yet and Browne has a broken leg with a return date that recently got pushed back. So there is room for another CM.

If we can keep them all for now, plus add Le Fee that would be ideal. Neil can play further up as can Le Fee also, so would be options galore. While Rigg is excellent, would allow us to manage his games more to aid his development also. Fingers crossed!
How would people feel if say we sold Neil for £20m and signed Le Fee for £10m?

Would be disappointed to lose Neil as he is excellent and a local captain, but would be a very good replacement. Hopefully, Neil will sign a new contract shortly.

i think this might be a great ploy to get Neil to sign his contract.
If he doesn't we have a replacement and he gets peddled.
As much as he's a local lad, picking players off Roma's first team squad as an upgrade will do me thank you

For me would all depend on Neil’s contract situation.

If talks have broken down and it looks like he isn’t going to sign a new deal then I’d be over the moon with that tbh.

We need depth.

This would be an amazing signing / statement of intent. Get Le Fee and keep everyone in and around the 1st XI and that would do me as a window.
