Jack Clarke

To who? You’ve got an Ipswich fan telling you he’s not physically strong enough, he was anonymous in the fa cup game.

He’s 23 there are better and younger players coming in, he didn’t even get a sniff of an U21 call up at a time when Carsley was giving out chances left right and centre .

Personally think he’s at his level, top half championship side or relegation battling premier league side (which tbf will set him up for life)

There’s a quality player in there, still developing. He is still a bairn. If he played another 40 games for us and kept improving I could’ve seen him go to an Everton or Crystal Palace etc. and do well. Ipswich was short sighted imo, has done his development no favours but his and his agents bank account are probably jizz worthy.

We haven’t missed him to be fair. Except now when we’ve got about 12 injuries.

What about the 2 games against Fulham when he scored in both?

Ipswich aren’t playing to his strengths, this is his chance though, he won't get another PL move unless he starts playing well.

I rate Clarke. But Fulham didn’t play their strongest side in those fixtures. And the home tie Fulham played us off the park until they fell asleep for a period.

Broadhead started on the left and then was subbed for Szmodic with Clarke watching on the bench.

Ian Harte should be ashamed, the useless kernt.
Why
Long term it could make him worse off though. Right now his stock is poor. If Ipswich go down and Clarke continues not even coming off the bench, no premier league club will come in for him. It’s short term certainty in terms of a gain but likely to be long term loss IMO. Plus he will have a relegation cut to his wages. If it was clear McKenna was always going to play this way, then it’s a poor move from Harte and his advisors.
And Clarke...he's the gaffer ya nar 🤷‍♀️

This JC obsession is very weird. The same people love mundle and Watson - if Clarke had stayed they wouldn’t be in the team? We got decent money for him and have arguably better replacements. A player can leave the club and love the club and leave on good terms.

Yes he might have made a bad move - but it was his choice. We offered him a new deal he moved on and arguably it’s very good business for the club.

Twice now that he's sent his career backwards by chasing money rather than staying a club he was at permanently and was growing with, if he had stayed at Leeds initially or with us now he'd have given himself a better chance of making a success of PL football when it came around.

Like you said though, we haven't missed him and he needed to go anyway to let Mundle and Watson come through.

I’d argue we have missed him. We’ve failed to score in half of our games recently. Clarke, at this level, had the ability to score from very little. If he was on the books, he’d still be the best winger here.

We'd have lost Watson IMO if Clarke was still here and he'll be just as much as a goalscorer (judging by his brief first team appearances and his u21 record).

We would, as he'd still be behind both Clarke and Mundle and he was already getting a bit frustrated. Loads of clubs would take him off us in an instance if he didn't have a pathway this season.
I’d suggest the Mundle signing was the one that wouldn’t have necessarily happened.

Yeah the obsession is bizarre if we're setting ourselves up as a club that is bringing in young players to develop and then sell then people can't complain at the player for leaving. He made up his mind that he wanted Premier League football and took the only club that wanted him, I doubt he regrets it even if he's sat on the bench.
