*~*~* Blackburn v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Probably Im in the minority. But Im enjoying watching him - really exciting when he does what he';s paid for....run down the wing, turn inside or out. shots need working on, but otherwise probably my favourite player at the moment.
Hello Mayenda's relation. Your boy has zero composure, none. He had two meters on the ast defender and he carried the ball to the GK, he didn't shoot, knock it past him, nothing!

He’s proven he can score goals, for us. He’s not been given a chance again upfront since then. He’s also 18 years old. Isidor missed a one on one. Blackburn missed an open goal basically in the first half. It happens.
he scored two

He scored two in the first game and has squandered many chances since then. He will not be a top striker.

Reading some of the comments it’s very obvious that many don’t understand football at all.

Absolutely clueless from some. Borderline mental from others.

We were poor in the first half due to their organisation. The opposition are allowed to put up an effort you know.

Second half we changed things in possession, Dan Neil dropped in between the centre backs and we created plus ones at the back and on both wide areas with full backs pushing on.

We should have got a third, we should have defended the back stick better (and prevented the cross) for their second but it happens.

A good point when we take all three at Stoke.
Our team will be knackered before they start against Sheff Utd.

Cannot keep playing the same 11 for 90 minutes when fixtures are coming thick and fast.

How many goals in 53 games?
Averages a goal every 3 games. scored more than other strikers who've played more. and has played out of position most times

the abuse he gets on a personal level is horrendous. was my main point

Trying to look at it without the emotion of losing 2 points i'm much more concerned about Rigg, ankle was mentioned, hopefully he's just turned it and a short time out, how quickly he has become so important to us he will really be a miss :(
Didn’t look good, his breathing looked rapid for quite a while and the fact he could barely put any weight on it. Hope I’m wrong.

He's definitely got something. Oppositions find it hard to handle his pace. I think he'll have a career.

He has power and pace. Defenders don’t like that. But he’s erratic with his touch, and too often lacks composure. Obviously if there weren’t as many injuries he wouldn’t be playing. But he probably has to start more than he should at present and he should be looked after by his manager a fraction better in games.

I agree. I can imagine the medical staff are tearing their hair out we must have 10 players well in the red zone.

But we keep getting positive results!

Point is okay, theres a good chance we’re back here in the playoffs and we know we have nothing to fear, Blackburn are absolute dogshite, nice touch their fans booing a child who had to go off injured, classless utter scum.

Didn't realise how embarrassing John Eustace is mind. Does he go on like that every time they score? Proper Nathan Jones/Tim Sherwood look at me behaviour on both goals.

Proven? 2 goals in the Sheff Wed game. That is it. Not ready for starts every game. We cannot afford two players up front who cannot score goals.

It was poor as he didn’t look up and make a decision about what to do…but he’s a young lad learning his trade. Better to back him than be on his back. A point there is a good point, keeps us in the mix with a gap to Blackburn and Watford. 6 points next two games were right in it for autos. Onwards and upwards HWTL
