Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

Could anyone tell if he hit the knee/thigh or the boot of the defender?? Couple lads I've played with have done their metatarsal by hitting the latter in similar fashion

Defender definitely left it in on him but it was a 50/50. Think he just kicked the ball rather than made contact with the player.

I don’t think he did to be honest it was a cracking block by the lad stopped a certain goal. Think it was a fair challenge, and Tommy was committed to the chance. Hopefully it’s not as bad as it looked as he seemed to be struggling.

Yeah the pass came with blue flashing lights on. Watson was in a better position coming on to the ball but Riggy got there first.

It happens just hope not too bad an injury.
Absolutely, Rigg taking the touch before the back heel gave the centre half the perfect opportunity to clatter Watson. Cracking defending, mind and I wish our lot had done it for their goal as opposed to reenacting a Keystone Cops’ scene.

Fine margins, if Rigg had left the ball to Watson he probably scores and isn’t injured but no one’s fault. Hopefully he just jarred his knee/ankle booting a ball that had nowhere to go because of the excellent block and won’t be missing for long.
