*~*~* Sunderland v Bristol City match thread *~*~*

A lot of huff and puff, some nearly moments, some good, neat play at times but something just doesn’t feel right. Need to start the 2nd half better than we did the first, and if nothing changes please let's have some earlier substitutions .

How is it not? How would you tell who is being booed? It's not the performance and we've been denied an obvious penalty. I'm no inspector Morse but I think that's fairly obvious.

Generally fans boo their side if they do that sort of thing when the whistle goes. You boo the ref when they're close to the tunnel, it's always been that way.

I'm not sure about RLB's sub for Watson mind. I feel there were better options than Roberts then swapping Mayenda to the left. Hopefully it'll come off, just not sure it's what I would have done.

As a SC holder I'm not normally able to partake in the match day thread for home games, but me and the bairn both ill tonight so can't make it .
Is this what its usually like? Some people sitting at home watching on tv criticising those fans at the ground or who haven't turned up?

Refs been a bit shite. Isidor unlucky not to score. Was it a pen ? Some will say aye, some silly say no. Think VAR would give it mesel.

Bristol City happy with a point..need to break them down, need quicker movement in midfield for me, Jones holding onto the ball a little too long at times.

Not everyones cup of tea but we definitely lose something when it comes to progressing from the back when O'Nien isnt there. Ballard far too clumsy and slow with the ball at feet.
