1st TEST :: New Zealand v England

Not sure why we didn't pick Potts. Sort of conditions he's surely made for. Use

Gus as the enforcer and not pick Carse is how I'd have played it.
I'd have not picked Bashir as soon as we we saw this pitch
Can anyone think of a bowler who would have been decent on this surface?

Let’s call him Jimmy A.

Actually, that’s too obvious. J.Anderson
B stokes, not sure we will see him

On Bashir. They seem to want to build him into a Lyon. Someone who can contribute on all surfaces.

It’s an interesting idea, and I can see he has talent. It only works if he bowls tho. He could well bowl less than 10 overs in this test. That’s a waste.

He will end up bowling more than 10 by tea at this rate

Gone a bit quiet on here.

Everyone must have give up and gone to bed.
Slips too deep, bowling inconsistent, nearly 5 runs an over and NZ havent even tried to score quick...not a lot to post unless to be negative oh and the good toss to win has been wasted
Lets throw in another failure to review

Missed a review there. Snicko showed an edge.

Not a good session for us but add a couple of wickets to the score and it won't look too bad.

24 overs in the first session is bad though.

Looks like England missed a feather nick by Ravindra off Stokes 2nd last ball before lunch.
I hate the comms on that sort of thing though. Call it out of you heard it if not shut up!

Technology always going to be better than the human ear! The people in the comms box should have a better clue than those on the pitch.

At times watching on tele we hear noises and I'm sat baffled when nobody goes up.
