*~*~* Sunderland v West Brom match thread *~*~*

I think we have got what we deserved in most of the games this season but tonight and the Coventry game have been hugely frustrating. They're games you should be winning. No way we look like a top two side. Those teams have a habit of grinding out wins and getting over the line. Don't think we have that ability unfortunately. There'll be twists and turns yet though and at least we're not getting beat!

Not sure he got that much wrong to be honest. Let the game flow and wasn't falling for some really weak play by a few of our lot.

Really disappointed by that performance. Zero threat all evening. Roberts was shocking, again. Seriously need to look to improve our wide options in January if we want to keep pace with the front few.
Roberts was dreadful mind. His corners man - either hit the first man at knee height or floated towards the corner of the area. Rotten

That’s the last time we’ll be in the top 2 for a good while. Enjoyed it while we were there. 5 shit performances on the bounce. Only 3 goals scored as well. Not good enough. We’ll be getting beat on Friday too.
Just whacked
Dunno about the rest of you but this is about as good as I thought we were. Controlling the game but struggling to break down a promotion chasing team that came to play for a 0-0 draw. We're not exactly Barcelona.

I agree tbh. We were mostly clinical in our play. WBA defended well, just wasnt our night tbh. I feel much less worse after tonight than i have the last 4 results.

Seems like a tad of an overreaction with your second point. Individual mistakes costings us massively against cov/millwall and yes we weren’t great today but playing another team chasing top 6 and they turned up to pack their box and play for a draw
I watched on their stream as SAFC wouldn't let my pay to watch ours - their commentators thought a draw was a win, that we had totally outplayed them.

Game could've gone on another fortnight and we wouldn't have scored, looked totally bereft of attacking ideas by the end and the longer it went on the more likely they looked to score on the break.

What a clearance by Ballard to rescue a point.

Another game and more points dropped. Friday is a big game and a defeat will look like a bit of a slide.

5 points clear a few weeks ago.
