*~*~* Sunderland v West Brom match thread *~*~*

Mepham terrific, O'Nien all action, Watson is the king of winning free kicks and corners and having shots blocked. We need a bit of magic from Rigg or Jobe probably. They're well organised and can be decent going forward.

WBA managed to stifle us first half more or less, hopefully we can change it up second half and get some reward for our endeavours.

I tip my hat to anyone over there tonight, it looks freeeezing 😊

Poor half - for all the possession we’ve had we haven’t laid a glove on them . Dunno what’s happened to us in the last few weeks, we’ve become so passive
WBA look like they’re playing for a point. Including their kit colour feels like we’re playing Oxford with 10 men behind the ball

Good half, controlled the game, Watson a little light weight, it will come good for him though as he's still a youngun. We just lack a bit in the box. They are shit, we'll win this.

I rate Watson as highly as anyone and am really pleased to see him being given a chance, but he struggled badly there.

Can't be helping not having a left footer overlapping him like.
He’s a transition player. He needs space. Not sure he has the trickery for a team sitting back

West Brom draw a load of games for a reason, they are very organised. They also have Maja who can score something from very little with a clever flick or trick. We've been on top and now lets see how we can change it up second half with a half time team talk.
