*~*~* Preston v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

didn't see that coming from the man who doesn't seem to like a change

was probably needed like as some of the lads have played alot of minutes already given even when he does make changes it tends to be very late in the game

he'll get absolute pelters mind if this goes wrong

I do feel Mundle's form has tailed off from earlier in the season. He's scored a goal about two/three games ago a made a telling impact a few before that but he's really struggled coming inside and not offered much going outside for a little while now as sodes have got incredibly tight on him as soon as he recieves the ball. Maybe changing it gives him a breather and freshens things up, the he can come back in again soon.

I think Connolly has been getting more minutes from the bench and he seems to like him, but I'm not sure he quite gives us what Isidor has so far.

As you say - if the result doesn't go for us then he'll get criticism, but I do feel so far he's not utilised the bench as much as he could have and we couldn't keep going with the same 11/12 players.

Fair play to RLB

Connolly needs a start and you have to blood Watson sometime

create the depth and hopefully in a positive way

Some people on here are gonna be f***ing raging with RLB if tonights team choice goes horribly wrong
Any bad result ever, for any reason, some people on the board massively overreact. These types revel in negativity. They want failure as they think that have a win by guessing something for once that goes against the majority. It's odd and depressing.

If we’re going to have any chance of sticking near the top the squad needs to be used and players coming in need to be good enough to produce. This will be an interesting test.

I’d imagine the PNE coaching team are also scratching their heads having been prepping to defend against Mundle and Roberts out wide.

Particularly Roberts.

Way to defend Roberts is show him inside and block his passing lanes. That's exactly what you shouldn't do to Watson.
