looked a decent amount from Coventry on the highlights.
24000 crowd -not bad turnout .
They seem to be still behind Carrick
Both sides not doing anywhere near as well as most expected mind .

From what I gather, most are just sick of the same routine Carrick gets in to. They can't break teams down, he refuses to change it, they'll go on a run of winning a few and then can't maintain the form. Seen quite a few criticsing Carrick much more recently.

Just able to get on with my job like at church yesterday

No distractions etc

Thanks - had a good natter with a few Boro' fans in Guisborough pre-match. The Coventry/Sunderland thing isn't all that real - just got 'created' when social media kicked in and everybody got worked up over something that nobody had gone on about for about 3 decades. You're either a tw*t or you're not, regardless of who you support. Most folk are decent from 99% of fanbases. For the record, I like this forum, and most of its posters - whereas the opposite end of the scale is that Luton thing, which has been created by a 12 year old with issues, and most of its posters are plain odd.

Yeah they said it's all because of Jimmy Hill. We've had a similar thing with Derby in recent years. These don't like us because of Steve Gibson.

Reports saying around 1500 in a 24000 crowd not too shabby …

Behave ya absolute tattie.
Most of the fans will actually recognise Gibson has kept you alive and as a local I’m sure that is acknowledged as a good thing.
You on the other hand are all over the place, literally we live in (one of) your tiny heids rent free.

I think much of the recent stuff with Coventry is a small section of your fans behaving like animals when coming to the SoL and throwing stuff onto other people from the top tier. That coupled with there’s always a bit of scrapping going on at your place which we don’t usually see with other fanbases. All fanbases have dickheads following them mind, not singling out Coventry for that. Most fans my age aren’t old enough to remember the Jimmy Hill stuff so it probably isn’t at the forefront of their minds when the game comes up.

Wasn't at the 'hoying stuff' game - that was obviously plain wrong (no excuses) but that isn't really reflective of our fan base. I've been to Stoke, Preston (why?!_ Watford, Leeds and Boro this season - no bother art any. A small section of our fans snort and drink too much - that aside, we're ok (more families attending now, which is nice)

It's a Boro thread, a 215 paged thread about a club you don't care about and I'd noticed a Coventry fan had posted so decided to have a little chat about our game.

Really not all that bizarre is it.
