*~*~* Luton v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Can I just say
- we won despite the officials. The ref allowed anti football tonight, yet still we won.
- Luton couldn’t handle that their physical play did not win them the game.
- Who the flip were the commentators, that could have been the Luton’s own broadcast. To suggest that Isidor fouled in the lead up to the goal, or that Hume fouled in the box in the last minute given the nature f their challenges throughout is clear bias

They’ve given us as hard a game as anyone (bar possibly Leeds - but that’s debatable) playing that shit football. It’s awful but they were probably right to think that it was the best way to out us under pressure.

Thankfully, there aren’t many teams in this league who have the players to replicate that.
They have 11 points from 11 games and are 19th in the table.

Shit football.

Only caught the last 25 minutes or so due to work but Luton can fuck off, hideous way of playing and we defended exceptionally well. Love our two goals as well!

Is that our best win of the season given the circumstances of how the other team plays/played?

It’s the hardest fought for sure. I think beating Burnley and Boro more impressive as both are good sides and we did proper tactical jobs on them both.

I’d taking some convincing if anyone was to suggest that the way we got the points tonight was by design. We certainly rode our luck at times tonight and showed a real lack of composure for large parts. But when it mattered, Rigg and Mundle showed composure and quality.

Brilliant three points and it will give a great deal of confidence to them going forward
