so when a player goes for the ball in an offside position, to which the keeper is entitled to react with his positioning, that's NOT offside, he's not 'interfering with play'. If that were the case there would be dummy runs all over and it would be a different sport.

Roberts struggled in his last game and rightly gets criticism for his end product. But he is very press resistant. The type of player with his low centre kg gravity and skill who can wriggle away from them and play it inside to someone, then Luton are having to run back the other way.
