The Roberts haters (and there are many) have had a right day of it, every thread, even in SMB and Parsnip (probably even Politics but I'm not checking). Anyone would think we have got to the top of the table with 10 men. Perhaps not starting him today is the right move, perhaps not, but he has contributed loads this season and will do more, he is a very good footballer.

Don’t get this at all. Roberts was shite last season. Roberts has started this season well. Both are facts I doubt any sane person would dispute.

It also leaves question marks around him because of last season, and people will rightly question him, he deserves it after last seasons show. But he also deserves selection atm based on this seasons performances. I get today being a tactical choice but I’d be surprised if he isn’t starting come Saturday again - unless we get a Rigg hat trick out wide or something.

I don’t see why this place has such a problem with two things being true simultaneously.

His tactics tonight will be to flood central midfield when we haven’t got the ball. Browne, Neil and rigg will play the roles and Luton will be forced wide or back.
