County Cricket 2024

Derbyshire have slipped from 130-2 to 133-7 at home to Middlesex

Edit - now 133-8 to a ball which didn’t get up at all. Pitch looks like a shocker.

I have to say, I think there are genuine questions to be answered here over the pitch. The ball that got Donald rose viciously from a decent length to wrap his glove and bowl him, then just now, one has shot off a length and taken the top edge of Chappell’s bat before landing safely at backward square leg. All morning/afternoon though, the ball has been doing quite a lot off the pitch. It wouldn’t surprise me if Middlesex face similar issues and I think they can forget maximum batting points.
Duke ball back

It’s doing alsorts mind. As I remarked in the match thread (and also above) through the air and off a number of the pitches.

Yorkshire are 174-2 at Cardiff but I honestly don’t know how they’ve survived through 46 overs with only two wickets lost.

Carnage at edgebaston

Warwickshire 78 all out in first inns and 13 -4 in their 2nd. Bit of a different wicket (and ball )to the one when we played them down there.

Warks in trouble of losing by an innings when Essex only posted 232

Currently 22/5 and still 132 behind. I guess Rushy won't be able to bat either so effectively 6 down?

Warwickshire fans not happy on twitter like, thats an embarrassing defeat at home
just noticed Rocky scored a ton for middlesex, probably been there a couple of years now but keep forgetting hes not at Surrey
