*~*~* Plymouth v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

What a surprise same owld shit,2 of their 3 goals were f***ing awful and fat boy Rooneys win percentage gans from 2% to 3%…🤷🏻‍♂️

Decent and at his level in this league .
Will have great games but will also cost us goals

What a surprise that young Championship players are performing like Championship players. If they were Champions League quality they would already be playing there.

Would like to see an experienced keeper to give him some competition.

Bit too end to end in the 2nd half, we had no control, whereas in the other games we've barely even conceded shots nevermind goals. Even going into injury time, we looked the more likely winners, but were never solid at the back.

Neil rank, Hume and Ballard poor, Patterson should have done better with the third. Wouldn’t have changed the midfield after Portsmouth, that has to go down as a mistake, and Isidor should have been on after 60 minutes as Mayenda offered nothing.

Agree with whoever said they rate Ballard but we look far less secure with him in the side, and wtf is it with him constantly going down needing treatment, for such a big bloke he’s so soft.

Alese is a big miss.

what's characterised our season to date was us hunting the opposition in packs and not letting the opposition settle.

Second half we stood off them, didn't do enough work and allowed them the run of the field.

Typical football ie the team that hasn't won all season plays the team that has won every game and the former wins. This was a massive test of character and attitude and with that in mind - there is work to do.

You don’t change a winning side. Browne should have stayed in
Neil also started in 3 of our 4 wins before the last game. He was always likely to come back in especially as captain. If anything I expected Rigg to make way and browne to play instead.
The biggest issue for me is alese being out who gave the back line a bit of pace and balance. Ballard is a very old fashioned defender which we seem to be moving away from in style of play.
Mayenda has improved but he still isn't ready enough to be leading the line for a team attempting to get promoted.

Hold up.

What the fuck does either of those have to do with YOUR f***ing POST OF and I quote

“Midfield poor , maybe a mistake playing riggy , mundle superb”

Once again mention the untouchable one and people lose their heads.

No one mentioned Ballard own goal or the f***ing penalty.

I amended saying it was as a absolute mistake to play Neil.

Honestly people need to stop wanking over Neil it’s embarrassing
Ok my bad midfield were poor apart from dan

Frustrating. Plymouth did well to stop our midfield and we struggled to create much. But all of their goals were from sloppy errors and could have easily been prevented.
Ultimately this. Our midfield looked inexperienced, which it is, and someone needed to step up. When it was clear that wasn’t happening, Regis should have changed something - whether that’s shape or personnel to get back control. First time this season we haven’t looked in total control of a football match.

But as you say, all of the goals are our own fault and we cannot be that sloppy. Patterson and Ballard had a nightmare between them.
