*~*~* Plymouth v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Rooney got it right today. Set them up to be aggressive and niggly. We helped them out fractionally, IMO, by starting Neil over Browne. That’s the exact type of fixture where Neil struggles.

Point would have been a very good result as laws of averages said we weren’t going to win again and Plymouth go on being winless.

The only slight concern (aside from the loss), is that the nature of the loss (not managing fixtures properly) is a common re-occurrence.

Get back on the hoss next week

A draw would have been fine. That was probably a penna right at the end but he would never give it so late. Once again that lack of a proper experienced head in the middle of midfield cost us.
Brown came in and did nothing to improve it, so I’m not sure that’s correct.

Patterson has been incredibly poor today. Parried the shot just before out for a corner when it should have been an easy catch. Then whatever that was with the goal.
Exactly, catch the one that went for the corner. Take a bit of time and everyone could have recomposed to go and get the winner.

RlB first mistake really. Browne should’ve stayed in. Disappointing result but we move on.

Safe trip all travelling back, great turn out!
Anyone suggesting it was shot down with shite. Neil captain so should rightly be back in etc.

Was an idiot to get sent off v Burnley and has the turning circle of a cement mixer does the boy.
