*~*~* Plymouth v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Dan Neil has been poor today, he should never of come back in, Browne should of started. 2nd half was pathetic from us. Regis needs to give the players a kick up the ass this next week. Had a bad feeling today, up until half time I was glad I was wrong then 2nd half sh*te.
Neil should not be starting in front of Browne. For me Neil is really pedestrian and gets caught in possession a lot.

WOW didnt see that 2nd half coming. I thought Ballard and Rigg looked leggy from the start. Rigg should have been off at HT for Browne.
Such a young side and any team that roughs us up will get a result.

Infuriating that second half like. Reality check, playoffs is best we can hope for. Should have paid for an experienced striker like Cannon. Patto overrated. Ballard and Hume appalling today but still love them, maybes just tired from playing two full games for NI.
Good point about Hume and Ballard. Both well below par today

fuckin crap that. Imo not having that targetman / outball to take pressure off when teams coming at us just made the game chaotic which is what rooney wanted and got 2nd half. Difficult to control a game when its that fast and that frontman option is essential at this level. Same as last season the way that one panned out

I suspected we'd lose that. Not due to any major tactical insight, but simply that season after season we play like Brazil at the start and then get found out.

Dominated the first half, then tbf it was Plymouth that knew how to negate our threats.

We're still an OK team, but not in a million years going to run away with the title. Too many players that make poor errors.

Thought we came out a bit defensive second half and could have made some changes earlier. Hopefully back to our best again next week.
