*~*~* Plymouth v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Write it off, one of them days, didnt work nowhere near hard enough like weve seen this season. Still top of the league but its a big test of the players and RLB with a reaction next week against them lot

Infuriating that second half like. Reality check, playoffs is best we can hope for. Should have paid for an experienced striker like Cannon. Patto overrated. Ballard and Hume appalling today but still love them, maybes just tired from playing two full games for NI.

Dan Neil has been poor today, he should never of come back in, Browne should have started. 2nd half was pathetic from us. Regis needs to give the players a kick up the ass this next week. Had a bad feeling today, up until half time I was glad I was wrong then 2nd half sh*te.
Your captain letting them get a free shot off in injury time by making no attempt to get near and turning away from the ball is really poor

It’s just predictable that people would try and pulll him out for that

He was fine

Whats Neil’s got to do with that Ballard mistake?

How can anyone post this!??

Kick in the balls especially with how poor the goals were. Young team can't be perfect every game, sometimes shit happens. We're still top of the league (for now) and are back at home on Saturday, sure we would have took 4 wins from 5 before the season started.

We don't have the goalscorers to get promoted automatically, like under Mowbray we can't keep relying on midfield goals they'll dry up. We might scrape into the playoffs. This is a tough league that values goalscorers and experience more than anything, we are lacking in both. We have 1 player in the whole team who has scored 10+ goals in a single championship season, that was brown in 2017. We simply haven't replaced the 39 goals in the playoff season from Stewart, Simms, Diallo, Clarke.

We signed 1-2 players this window who can come into the squad and make an impact, ie brown and mepham. The rest are maybes for the future that I'm not particularly confident about considering 90% of foreigners they've bought previously have not made it into the starting 11.

I've said for a while you can't keep selling your best players and goalscorers and expect to be consistent and successful. So far we've played 4 relegation candidates and a very weakened Burnley, that's why I never got carried away.

Boro can’t beat Preston at home so surely we need to be putting them away next week. We’re still top so there is that.

Mepham needs to come in. Looked like sixes and sevens at the back at times. Mayenda i thought was tremendous yet again.

We will be in for another tough weekend again Boro if we play like that second half.

Needs to get Neil out of the side and bring in Browne,

However I see Rigg been dropped instead

It was always going to be difficult continuing from the start we've had. 4 wins from 5 is still impressive. Don't let it get you down, we still have a good side. Le Bris will have learned a lot from today.

Shite that, all the goals could have been avoided felt like we were half arsing the match when leading tbh, only have ourselves to blame.
