Done my bit over the summer I’m ruined now
Do my bit...Sheepfolds later, meeting some work retired people for Saturday afternoon drinks and probably usual Sunday afternoon on the ale.I hope our city centre will be well supported this weekend.
Does our city centre benefit from the GNR? Thinking hotel rooms being taken up? Etc.....
Posted on the restaurant thread but there’s a few of us heading through from the Gateshead and Newcastle area for Mumbai Silk tonight for a family meal. Unclear yet whether a drink somewhere before will be part of the plan.I hope our city centre will be well supported this weekend.

Isn't there something on in Sunniside today?
Probably a thread on this so might have missed it.
I saw an advert for urbanfest whatever that is
Couldn't agree moreLets support our city centre as opposed to going to Newcastle
It definitely does. Hotels get very full.Does our city centre benefit from the GNR? Thinking hotel rooms being taken up? Etc.....
Don’t know the woman on a personal level, but she helped sort me my flowers to be delivered to my lass on my morning of our wedding not so long back. Not exactly city centre but something awful has happened for one of our great local small businesses- Mel, the co-owner of Ashbrooke Florists, died yesterday. She was a lovely woman and I know many people will miss her dearly. She ran a wonderful business for many years. Really sad news.
I went to this yesterday, and we loved it. Sun was out, of course which helps, but there was a canny few there mid afternoon. Bmx, skateboard demos were good, but got a bit repetitive. Spray painting workshop was good. D.j was absolutely brilliant, playing loads of old school hip hop from the likes of Eric b and rakim, tribe called quest etc.Food was all great ,kids had burgers from jam jar, I had a bit pasta from angelis stall, doughnut from deep north.Loads of drinks offers at the bars around there, that rainbow hub selling pint cans for 2.50! Great day, shame the weather is shite for todayYou must be logged on to see external linksFound this. Might pop over.
Nice little afternoon in our city centre today. Look around the shops with my youngest then nipped in Lucky Cat Boba for a cuppa
