Pembele did well there against a good Leeds team
He was right wing back in a back 5. I'm all for giving our young players a chance, but I think Pembele is a bomb scare defensively. Even if we'd not loaned him out I'd prefer O'Nien right back and take our chances with Hjelde centre half.

Wonder if Dan Neil could do a job at right back again if we were desperate?
He’s an out and out cb. I’d say it’s the equivalent of putting Ballard right back. Like you said earlier as well Transfermrkt has him down as playing 4 games at rb in his career. Luckily Hume has a good injury record and push come to shove I think O’Nien would be the backup rb until Huggins is fit after Xmas.
Weirdly it was left back where he played a couple of games at haha

Seems strange to say it but if this lad and Samed are as good as they say then Neil looks the most vulnerable of all our midfielders atm. Would be interesting to see if he could play RB - I suspect he could.

I know nothing of Samed but if he is better player than Neil then he should play instead of him like.
They'll both get plenty of games regardless due to the sheer amount of football being played.

If the 2 new lads are as good as people say then who makes way out of Jobe, Rigg, Browne and Neil if we stay 4 3 3.

It's more likely that Neil will move into one of the 8 roles, than it is Neil being dropped if Samed comes in.

It's all about having a strong squad, not only do we have quality over for injuries and needed rest but they will all know they have to deliver week in week out or could face being replaced

No idea, I wouldn't want to make that call but it's good that we can have say Neil, Jobe and Rigg go all out pressing for an hour and bring on Samed, Browne and Aleksic/Aouchiche when they tire.
