Chris Rigg

Can't go for anything less than 70m in today's market. But judging by what we got for Clarke it will probs be a packet of hobnobs and some petty money.
Sell to city 40 mill and loan back

Double it and then we are talking. 40m is nothing in today's market, for one of the best English talents, had to be substantially more.

I feel a bit sorry for Jobe. He's made a brilliant start to the season, played every minute I believe and is starting to look like he could be a star of the future not unlike his brother.

The poor bugger has been totally eclipsed by Rigg 😂

There was no bidding war with Clarke.

If Rigg adds a few goals to his game and continues to pick MotM most weeks and we stay top of the league every top club in England and Europe will be sniffing around.

Blessing in disguise for the lad. The attention and standard he is held to is always more than it should be cos of who his brother is. He's just turned 18 man. He has started this season like an absolute monster.

I love rigg like and he’s clearly going to be a top player but some of these replies are absolute madness

Without putting the lad down there have been far better players at his age and are far better playing currently.

This isn’t a dig at the lad before anybody combusts either but it needs reigning in a bit.
It’s hard to compare him to other teenagers that have done it at a higher level without seeing him there.

In the right team he probably could do well but it’s an unknown.

What I would say is that he looks like one of the best teenagers to come through the championship so far.

I've watched Sunderland for over 45 years and I've never seen a 17 year old like Chris Rigg.

He's made 3 out of 4 starts in August and easily won player of the month for a side top of the league.

He has the potential to be out best home grown player since Raich Carter nearly a 100 years ago.

That's how special a talent he is.

He wont stay long enough to be a legend sadly
Just don’t let him near your granny or the pie shop

If your granny bakes a pie, the doorbell will immediately ring

Lasted about 20 seconds. Hate these ai shitty voiceovers
Yeah, I've never understood why people put effort into making something and then ruin it with some shitty voiceover.

Actually makes me wonder how much of the video is actually ai generated
Was it AI?! I thought it was a non-native English speaker who had learnt “American English”
On reflection, you might be right, but the internet is such a mess now I just assume everything is ai!

It’s all in this thread, better than Bellingham never seen a player like this since messi 😂😂😂.

I’m all aboard the Rigg train and how good he is, but Christ man, people are getting way, way ahead of themselves.

People seriously struggle with levels on this forum for some reason, he’s currently a stand out player in the championship, he could and I do think he’ll make it at a top level, but come on 😂
Exactly
£50m each for two of the best young prospects in Europe ?. Not at all out of the way.
Not saying we'll get it but thats todays values
Like Clarke was 30mil eh 😂
Rooney was a man at 16. Chris Rigg is still a boy. Albeit a very talented one.

I would put Rigg in the Foden category. That's how good he is.
Yeah he is similar to Foden but is he chuff on a par with him at that age ffs

Wow Real Madrid don't watch duds.
However, a new revelation has caught the attention of Real Madrid: Chris Rigg.

Generational talent

At just 16, Rigg is making waves at Sunderland and is already being compared to the likes of Güler, Endrick and Lamine Yamal . His rapid rise has alerted Real Madrid and Florentino Perez to his potential, and he is seen as a strong option for the future of the team.

Wouldn't begrudge the lad going there at any point, they have to fight off the scum though🤣
