Chris Rigg

Now that he’s cemented himself firmly in our first team the scouts from Europe’s big boys will be all over him like fine tooth comb. Enjoy him whilst he’s here and hopefully it’s for a season in the PL too.
While they are watching him the likes of Mundle and Mayenda will also catch the eye, as well the ones that are already getting teams sniffing about (Jobe, Hume, Neil, Ballard, Patto etc)

That frustrating team than finished 16th in the table last season could be worth a £100m plus if all sold for their 'true value' 😳🤯

Only way he stays another season is of we get promoted. Even then, only if he signs a contract extension and then realistically, we will have him for just one more season. Same with Jobe.
If we go up, with the current model them two would be the first to go. Not saying that’s a bad thing as they’d go for a hell of a chunk and you’d be able to build a fair chunk of a side. Ridiculously hard to compete that level nowadays.

This. We are never going to compete at the top table of the PL.
We have to accept that with the likes of Rigg, we aren’t holding onto them long term.

I was shocked to see Jobe and Rigg not in the u21 squad until I seen the midfield selected for this round of games.

Midfielders: Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest), Harvey Elliott (Liverpool), Archie Gray (Tottenham Hotspur), Hayden Hackney (Middlesbrough), James McAtee (Manchester City), Tyler Morton (Liverpool), Alex Scott (AFC Bournemouth), Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace)

Nowt special there mind.

Any idea why he isn't already? Clearly mint since Fulham nearly 2 years ago, you'd think the setup would have noticed by now. Wouldn't be surprised if you're not allowed to have an all-SAFC midfield in the England u21s
It’s because he is a Championship player. If he was sold in the Summer to a Premier League team he would be in the England squad.

The funny thing is Jude Bellingham is a ā€œgenerational talentā€ we have somehow got a 2nd generational talent. Imagine how good the England team will be in 5-10 years time.

But they are all playing in the Prem.

Wharton dropping down makes you wonder if he should have been at the Euros.
Hayden Hackney isn't. Neither is Tyler Morton really. Elliot Anderson has got a token call so he doesn't chose Scotland for some bizarre reason. I know little about McAtee but I doubt he hardly plays for City. I guess the other are bit part players except Wharton

Whatever the championship transfer record is, it’ll be broken next summer for this lad.

If he keeps playing the way he is, and continues to improve at the same time, most of the top clubs in Europe will want him
He will captain England for a long long time imo. Has the exemplary attitude that Jordan Henderson displayed, but with respect to Jordan, he’s way more talented.

I don't know but it's clearly not going to help him, he's so far, far above u18 level that it's literally pointless him going. Just look at these kids in there with him.

Are these games broadcast anywhere?

How is Rigg in this squad but Jobe is in the Elite squad?
