Jack Clarke

Sorry for bringing the conversation back to the original point but yeah watching MoTD there it just felt wrong seeing him for Ipswich with a daft number on his back, Harte has done us all (inc Jack himself) dirty here.

Like seeing your ex with a new fella! 😟

i doubt we would be having conversations about his IQ if he still played for us.
Leave the lad alone.
Was a great servant for us, and earned his place in the sun.
Will happen to a few more of our players in time - with this model - so people need to stop being so bitter about it.
Was hardly an acrimonious departure - he was giving 100% right until he left.
‘you deserve this moment’ says fuck all to be fair
It's a message to a mate who he has known for years.
Says a lot actually

Clarke was brilliant with his attitude and commitment to us. He could have been a right punt like Pritchard and forced a move away, but no he gave his all every time he pulled the shirt on. I honestly think he was happy at Sunderland but his agent was determined to get a move away for him this summer. Personally I think he would have been happy for another season with us.

They could go down but I imagine he’s doubled his wage.

If he’d stayed this season I think he could’ve done the same with us.

He’ll end up next season in the Championship but one of the best players if they drop.

I think it was money or prestige with the lad, he chose the former and fair enough. He’s going to have to sit behind Hutchison for a season, Harte will be happy though.
Doubled his wage? Was he not on £15k per week or about £750k per year?

Would you let KLD sell you for £15m and settle for £1.5m per year?

He will be on more than that with that sort of transfer fee

Wish the lad the best career he can possibly have but I do think he does/will regret leaving us. He’s left at a time when the team has finally matured into something capable of promotion and he would have been a massive part of that. Good work Harte you spunk trumpet

Can’t disagree with this. There’s a small but increasing chance we could be swapping divisions with Ipswich

Doesn’t Hutchison play right wing?
