Chris Rigg

Didn't think he was good enough to be starting week in week out for a side hoping to push for promotion based on his performances last season, thought he was (understandably) fairly up and down with his level.

Christ what a f***ing idiot I am.
TBF last season you were probably right. He is developing rapidly.
I would also say that good management and coaching has really helped.him along, not being thrown in, rather Mowbray bringing him in slowly and taking care to.highlight his youth, not putting pressure etc. is paying off. Dodds probably made the right decision not to associate him with that disaster of a period either.

I know it sounds like a downer but I hope we continue this and don't just play him week in week out regardless like we did last season with Job and Neil before that. They both overcame it of course- but our strength in cm means we can rotate our players and keep them performing at such a high level across the season.

Regarding him leaving, best not to think about it
Ignore any noise with transfer links. He's been linked for years every few weeks to some club or another- all we really know is that he has signed every contract we've put in front of him at the earliest opportunity. He's happy and I'm sure he will be until the day comes when an offer comes in that we can't refuse.
